Log books, magazines, and printed objects to your SYNC INDEX collection from any page. SYNC INDEX is a curated catalog for physical printed culture — art books, photo books, design books, zines, magazines, lookbooks, exhibition catalogs. The Chrome extension turns any web page into a one-click logging surface for your SYNC collection at sync-index.org. THREE DETECTION MODES • ISBN — When the active page contains a valid ISBN-13, the extension looks it up in the SYNC catalog. If it's already there, save to your Collection, Wishlist, or Draft. If not, the SYNC lookup chain (ISBNdb + Google Books + DNB) pre-fills the log form. • Shopify — On any Shopify product page (art book shops, indie publishers, vintage magazine stores), the extension reads the product JSON for title, creator, year, page count, description, and all product images at full resolution. Choose subject + format, pick Collection or Wishlist, and log it — all from the popup, no redirect. • Generic — On any other page, log with the page title and source URL pre-filled. THE SOURCE URL BECOMES A BUY LINK Whenever you log an item from a vendor's site (offbrandlibrary.com, mackbooks.co.uk, idea-books.com, etc.), the source page automatically becomes the first BUY link on the SYNC item page — so when someone else discovers the same object via SYNC, they can find a copy. PRIVACY The extension only reads content from the active tab when you click the icon. It never reads from other tabs and never runs automatically. Page content goes only to sync-index.org.
