Guided, step-by-step vehicle assignment walkthrough for NCS dispatch. Follows the Assignment Rules SOP and shows its work. NCS Dispatch Walkthrough turns the vehicle assignment SOP into a guided, one-question-at-a-time tool a dispatcher runs before assigning a pickup in CATS. Answer questions about the pickup location, vehicle, and condition in order, and the tool walks through the same evaluation the written SOP describes — capability gate, conditional tiers, geographic tiers, and review flags — and shows exactly which rule produced the recommendation. When the SOP calls for a person to decide (an unresolved region, a flagged divergence, or a case the rules don't cover), the tool says so plainly instead of guessing. What it does: • Walks through pickup location, vehicle details, and condition one step at a time • Recommends a vendor and shows the SOP step that produced the answer • Flags cases that need dispatcher judgment instead of forcing an automatic pick • Surfaces the underlying rule source and how much to trust it (forward-tested vs. legacy data) • Gives you one-click copy of a summary for the assignment note What it does not do: • It does not write to CATS or dispatch a vehicle • It does not know live vendor capacity • It does not send any data anywhere — it runs entirely inside your browser This is a reference aid.
