Deep annotations for Japanese immersion; fast word lookup on ordinary web pages. Shizen Learn gives immersion content a deep annotation layer while keeping ordinary web lookup fast and lightweight. - Hold Shift and hover over Japanese text on an ordinary webpage for a quick vocabulary dictionary match. - Add tappable Japanese subtitles to supported video services and request detailed vocabulary and grammar annotations for the subtitle track you choose. - Study subtitle sentences with immersion playback controls: loop the current line, auto-pause at the start or end, jump to the previous or next line, replay a sentence, adjust Japanese and secondary-subtitle timing independently, blur captions for recall, and customize caption size and position. - Request an AI explanation for the current subtitle context. The selected line, nearby subtitle text, and any follow-up you enter are sent only when you ask for that explanation. - Click the toolbar action to scan Japanese text shown inside page images, manga, and other visual immersion content, then explore detailed word and grammar annotations in context. - Sign in with your Shizen Learn account to save words and keep your private study activity connected. Page scanning, subtitle annotation, and AI explanations happen only after you explicitly request them. Submitted annotation-only subtitle text and cropped page images are processed transiently for OCR or Japanese-language analysis and are not retained in the Shizen Learn database. When you invoke AI Help, the current subtitle, nearby lines, and any typed follow-up are sent to answer that request; AI Help conversations may be retained for up to one year under the Privacy Policy. Derived study identifiers may be kept for your private account, and local annotation caches expire automatically.
