SWOWL — the extension that does it all. Partnering extension for Google Chrome. Swowl is a subscription study assistant for online learning. It is built for Moodle-based coursework and works best on Richfield’s learning site (learning.richfield.ac.za). HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in at the Swowl dashboard (swowl-gray.vercel.app) with your account. 2. Activate or renew your subscription (license code or plan from Swowl). 3. Open your quiz or assignment on a supported learning site. 4. Use the question flag on supported Moodle pages — Swowl sends your question securely to our backend and helps you draft a structured answer in the editor when the page layout matches Moodle. SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED Swowl does not work without an active subscription. Sign-in and billing are handled on the Swowl dashboard, not inside the extension settings. PRIMARY PLATFORM • Richfield Moodle (learning.richfield.ac.za) — full support for Moodle question pages and editors. OTHER LEARNING SITES (BEST-EFFORT) The extension may load on some other LMS hosts (e.g. Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle Cloud, Brightspace, Google Classroom). Those platforms use different page layouts; features may be limited until we add support for your school’s site. PRIVACY & DATA • The extension reads your sign-in cookie from the Swowl dashboard to verify your account. • Questions and optional page context are sent to Swowl’s secure backend to generate responses. • We do not ask you to paste a Google API key into the extension; AI runs on our servers under your subscription. PERMISSIONS • Cookies — to confirm you are signed in at the Swowl dashboard. • Storage — for basic extension operation and legacy cleanup. • Access to learning sites — to offer in-page assistance where supported. • Access to Swowl dashboard and backend — sign-in and AI processing. GETTING HELP Open the Swowl dashboard to manage your subscription, redeem a license, or contact support. If you are not signed in, click the extension icon to open the dashboard. Swowl is a learning support tool. You are responsible for following your institution’s academic integrity rules.
