One click or hotkey to switch YouTube audio between your preferred language and the video's original track. YouTube's audio-language setting is account-wide and sticky. Once you pick a language, dubbed videos keep playing in it — even when you would rather hear the creator's own voice. This extension puts that choice on a hotkey. WHAT IT DOES • Press Alt+A — or click the toolbar icon — to switch between your preferred language and the video's original audio. • Videos with three or more tracks can be cycled from the icon's right-click menu. • The badge on the icon tells you what is playing: ORG for the original track, or the language code for anything else. • Your choice is sticky. The next video you open keeps the same setting, so you are not pressing the hotkey over and over. FULLY CONFIGURABLE • Choose any preferred language — 80+ in the list, or type any language code. • Decide what happens when your language is not offered: leave the audio alone, or fall back to the original. • Prefer a real human dub over YouTube's AI auto-dub when both exist. • Turn automatic switching off if you want the extension to be purely manual. • Works on Shorts too. • Rebind or clear the shortcut from the browser's own keyboard-shortcut page. HOW IT WORKS The extension reads the audio tracks directly from YouTube's player, so switching is instant — no page reload, and your playback position is kept. PRIVACY No data collection. No analytics. No tracking. No network requests of any kind. Your settings stay in your browser. The extension only runs on youtube.com. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
