Bookmarks from X, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram & LinkedIn in one auto-tagged, searchable library on your own machine. No cloud. REQUIRES the free Weft app running on your own computer (one `docker compose up`). This extension is the capture half; without the app there is nothing to save into. You already save things. Bookmarks on X, saved posts on Reddit and LinkedIn, Watch Later on YouTube, Saved on Instagram. They sit in seven different apps and you never find them again. Weft brings them into one library on your own machine, where you can search by meaning, ask questions and get answers that cite the exact post, and see the themes running across everything you have kept. How the capture works, and why it is unusual: • It reads the responses the page already fetched for you, in your own signed-in tab. • It does not scrape rendered HTML, and no crawler ever visits the site. • Your passwords and cookies never leave the browser. The extension never sees them. • Everything is posted to the Weft app on your own machine, at localhost. There is no Weft account, no Weft server, and nothing to sign up for. The library, the search index and the AI all run locally. Cloud AI is available if you want it, using your own API key, and it is off by default.
