Track competitor storefronts: price changes, new and removed products, stock-outs and restocks. Works with Shopify-powered stores. Storelookout watches your competitors' storefronts and shows you exactly what changed — price moves, new arrivals, removed products, sell-outs and restocks — without you opening a single tab. HOW IT WORKS Add a competitor's store from the popup (open their site, click the Storelookout icon, click "Track this store" — or paste any store URL). Storelookout takes a snapshot of their public product catalogue, then re-checks it on your schedule and diffs every snapshot against the last one. Works with storefronts on the Shopify platform, which publish their catalogue at a public address. WHAT YOU GET • A changes feed grouped by day: price rises and drops (old price → new price), new products, removed products, stock-outs and restocks • A toolbar badge with the count of changes you haven't seen yet • Per-store status at a glance: last check, product count, and whether a store has started blocking checks or gone password-protected • Manual refresh any time, per store or all at once PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no Storelookout server and no account. Your store list, every snapshot and the full change history live in your browser's own extension storage — nothing you track is uploaded anywhere. No analytics, no telemetry. The extension talks to exactly four places: the stores you track (to fetch their public catalogue), Google's favicon service (store logos in the popup), the stores' own image CDNs (product thumbnails), and ExtensionPay (only if you upgrade — payments are processed by Stripe; this extension never sees card details).
