AI for every page: translate, summarize, screenshot Q&A, and writing help—in one click. Select text on any website and AskAI rewrites it, fixes the grammar, translates it or explains it, then puts the result back in the text box. No copying and pasting between tabs. HOW IT WORKS 1. Select text on any page. A small AskAI button appears next to it. 2. Point at the button for quick actions, or click it to type your own request. 3. Read the answer next to your text, then replace the original, insert the answer below it, or copy it. Undo is one click away. WRITE BETTER, RIGHT WHERE YOU TYPE • Improve, fix grammar, make shorter or longer, or simplify emails, messages, posts and documents. • Change the tone: professional, friendly, confident or casual. • Refine the answer in one click (shorter, more formal, simpler) or with a follow-up request. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ • Explain a dense paragraph in plain words, or summarize a long passage. • Translate a selection, or a whole page with the original and the translation side by side. • Ask about part of the screen: drag over a chart, an error message or an image and ask what it means (Premium). MORE • Actions menu: press Alt+J on any selection to search every action or type what you want. • Your own actions: write the instructions once and run them on any text. • Side panel chat: summarize the page you're on and ask follow-up questions. • Light and dark themes. STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY • Hide the toolbar for now, on one site, or everywhere. • Show it on every selection, only while you hold a key, or only with the shortcut. • It never appears in password fields. FREE TO START Sign in with Google for a free daily allowance of AI tokens, refreshed every 24 hours. One-time lifetime plans and token packs add more, with no subscription. They also let you use your own API key from OpenAI or another supported provider. PRIVACY • Nothing is sent while you browse. Only when you run an action does AskAI send that text, or the screen area you picked, to get the answer. • We don't keep your text or the answers, and your data is never sold or used for advertising. • Your own API keys stay in Chrome and are sent only to their provider.
