Machine Learning eye detection program to keep you focused This is an application using user's webcam and a machine learning model to detect when users look away from the screen (lose focus). If users are classified as looking away for roughly 3 seconds, the application will alert users with a funny sound and visual warning (a meme) to tell users to get back to work. These are features that I implemented: - Real-time iris tracking using MediaPipe FaceMesh - Machine Learning classification using a binary classifier SVM - Alert system with custom sounds and memes - Animated cat mascot that reacts to different focus state (either focused or not focused) - Live statistics part showing data such as left_v and right_v, which are the vertical iris offset ratios for left eyes and right eyes, including other information that was mainly used to check if the extension works - On/off tracking toggle, users take full control of turning on or off Users can use it by: - Click Start Tracking in the pop up - Allow camera access when required - Just work normally on their screen, Focus Buddy runs in the background - If they look away for too long, they get an alert - Users can look back at the screen for roughly 2-3 seconds for the warning to go off I made this program based on my personal habits that I think lots of people have: the feeling to pick up the phone and start surfing social media, losing focus on current task. I think this could be a program to help users focus more and gain more productivity. Disclaimer: All processing happens on the device locally. This program does not store or transmit any user's data.
