Chem Pal is a free, open-source shopping assistant for chemistry hobbyists, students, and DIY makers who buy laboratory reagents. Instead of opening a dozen supplier websites, copying prices into a spreadsheet, and squinting at wildly different units and currencies, you type one search and get a single, sortable comparison table — without ever leaving the page you're on. There are plenty of price-comparison tools for businesses, universities, and research labs. Chem Pal is built for the individual: it focuses on suppliers that sell to private buyers and ship to residential addresses, so the results you see are things you can actually order. WHAT IT DOES • Search many chemical suppliers at once. One query fans out across a growing list of more than two dozen reagent suppliers and returns everything in one place. • Compare fairly, not just quickly. Prices are converted to a common currency and quantities are normalized to a common unit, so you can see the true price-per-amount even when one supplier lists "500 g" and another lists "1 lb" in a different currency. • See the chemistry, not just the listing. Results are automatically enriched with details like CAS number, molecular formula, molecular weight, purity/grade, and concentration, so you know you're comparing the same substance. • Jump straight to the documents that matter. When a supplier provides them, Chem Pal surfaces one-click links to safety and product documents (SDS, TDS, COA). • Track prices over time. Save products and watch price history across suppliers and individual variants, so you can buy when the price is right. • Sort and filter everything. Review the combined results table, sort or filter, compare price-per-amount, and follow the links to buy. PRIVATE AND TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN • No account or sign-up required. • No data collection by the developer. Chem Pal has no backend server of its own and includes no analytics, tracking, or advertising.
