Blocks known JioHotstar ad requests, hides sponsored banners, and shows what it blocked today. Ad Blocker for JioHotstar By Folner blocks a focused list of known advertising requests while you browse hotstar.com, and hides JioHotstar's sponsored billboard banners so the home page stays about the shows. The popup keeps the decision simple. One switch turns blocking on or off for every JioHotstar tab, and the same switch is reachable by clicking the power dial. Two figures show what happened today: how many ad requests were blocked, and an estimate of the time that saved at thirty seconds per ad. Chrome does not tell extensions when a blocking rule matches, so the count comes from the page's own attempts to reach those ad endpoints. Tracking pixels and the ad SDK loader are blocked as well but are never counted as ads, so the figure stays honest. Three settings are available, and each one does something real. Hide Ad Spaces removes empty ad slots and sponsored banners, and restores them the moment you turn it off. Reload Tab After Switching reloads the current tab when you turn blocking on or off, so a request already in flight cannot slip through. Show Badge Count puts today's number on the toolbar icon. You can reset the local figures at any time. The extension works only on hotstar.com. It does not unlock content, bypass subscriptions, interfere with sign in, alter digital rights controls, or promise to remove every advertisement. JioHotstar may change how advertising is delivered, so results can vary over time and by region or content. The blocking preference, the three settings, and the number of ad requests blocked today are stored locally in Chrome. The extension reads the active tab URL locally to tell whether the current page is JioHotstar, and reads limited JioHotstar page content locally to find ad markers and a confirmed visible video in the known ad container. None of this is retained or transmitted. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising, remote code, or external runtime service. Independent extension by Folner.
