Noterva Assistant is a private AI reading assistant for researchers: summarize dense paragraphs, explain difficult passages, translate into 16 languages, rewrite, and fix grammar — on any web page or PDF, running locally on your own computer. Select any text on any page, and Noterva Assistant helps you get through it: • Summarize — a dense paragraph in 2–3 sentences • Explain — a difficult passage in plain words • Translate — into 16 languages • Rewrite — formal or casual • Fix grammar · Make shorter · Make longer RUNS ON YOUR OWN COMPUTER By default the AI runs locally, on your machine. No account, no API key, no subscription, and nothing you select is sent anywhere. The models download once (about 1 GB) and then work offline. 16 LANGUAGES Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Chinese (Simplified) and Russian. THREE WAYS TO USE IT • Select text — a small menu appears. Copy is always the first option. • Right-click — Noterva Assistant → pick an action. • The floating button, bottom-right of any page. OPTIONAL: BRING YOUR OWN CLOUD AI Prefer a faster cloud model? Add your own Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google API key in the settings. Entirely optional — the extension is fully functional without one. In this mode your selected text goes directly from your browser to the provider you chose; it never passes through our servers. CO-PILOT MODE Builds an expert prompt from your selection, copies it, and opens ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini so you can paste it into your normal free account.
