NoSynth: AI Video Filter hides videos on YouTube that YouTube identifies as AI-generated or significantly altered with AI. The extension is designed for users who prefer to browse YouTube without content carrying YouTube's altered or synthetic content disclosure. Main features: • Automatically detects YouTube videos carrying the relevant altered or synthetic content disclosure. • Hides detected videos from supported YouTube feeds, search results and recommendations. • Blocks an already opened detected video and allows it to be shown once without disabling the filter globally. • Blocking is enabled by default. • Your ON/OFF choice is preserved after restarting the browser. • The toolbar badge shows how many unique videos have been blocked on the current YouTube page. • Works without an external account or API key. • Supports multiple European languages automatically according to the browser language. • No analytics and no telemetry. How detection works: The extension reads video IDs displayed on YouTube pages and requests public YouTube watch pages to determine whether YouTube provides the altered or synthetic content disclosure for those videos. Results are cached locally to reduce repeated requests. The extension does not attempt to independently guess whether a video was generated with AI. It blocks videos based on YouTube's own disclosure signal. Therefore, AI-generated content that is not labeled by YouTube may not be detected. Privacy: No browsing information is sent to the developer. No analytics, advertising, tracking or telemetry services are used. Settings and detection cache are stored locally in the browser.
