A calendar extension for lunar dates, 24 solar terms, public holidays, and moon phases. Daylight puts the Chinese lunar calendar back into your calendar. Click the toolbar icon and you get the whole month at once: the lunar date sits under every day, the 24 solar terms are picked out in bold, week numbers run down the side, and today's moon phase and your own notes are on the same screen — no drilling down. ▪ Lunar dates and the 24 solar terms Shown under each Gregorian date, calculated on your device with no network request. ▪ Public holiday subscriptions Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Thailand are built in, each with its own colour. You can also paste any iCal (.ics) address to subscribe to a calendar of your own. ▪ Diary and todos Write a line against any day. Start it with [] and it becomes a todo you can tick off; completed ones are struck through. Diary entries are stored on your device only — never uploaded, never synced. ▪ Moon phases The phase, percentage illuminated and moon age for any date. ▪ Jump anywhere Tap the title to zoom out: month, year, decade, century. The year grid labels the lunar months each month spans; the decade grid labels each year's stem-branch name. ▪ Set it up your way Three interface languages — 中文, English, ไทย — switched by you, not inherited from the browser. Four week-numbering rules (ISO 8601, US, Arabic, Hebrew). Lunar dates and week numbers can each be turned off. Dark mode follows the system or is set by hand. On privacy: Daylight has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. The only network requests it makes are downloads of the public holiday calendars you subscribed to.
