Make the Tab key indent your text in Gmail compose instead of jumping focus. Toggle with a shortcut or an in-compose button. Gmail Tab to Indent makes the Tab key indent inside Gmail's compose box, and leaves Tab working exactly as normal everywhere else. How it works - Press Tab inside the message body to indent. - Press Shift+Tab to remove one level of indent. - Tab still moves keyboard focus normally in the To/Cc/Subject fields and everywhere outside of Compose. Turn it on or off three ways - The keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+T, from anywhere in the tab. - The toolbar popup — a single switch, plus the current shortcut and a link to Chrome's shortcut editor. - A small pill button injected into each compose window's title bar. All three stay in sync instantly, including across multiple open Gmail tabs.
