Analyzes Chrome tabs and provides local ad, tracker, distraction, cookie-banner, and custom element controls. Browser Monitor is a Chrome extension for analyzing tab activity, improving privacy, and making browsing more comfortable. The extension helps you monitor browser resource usage, block unwanted content, and understand which tabs continue running in the background. Key features: • blocks ads, trackers, and browser-based cryptomining requests; • protects against suspicious links, URL shorteners, lookalike domains, and redirects; • shows blocking statistics for today and the last 7 days; • tracks active browsing, reading, and video time; • analyzes open tabs and explains why they remain active in the background; • provides Eco Mode for temporarily pausing resource-intensive activity; • hides cookie banners, pop-ups, newsletter prompts, and notification requests; • controls autoplay and floating videos; • includes Picture-in-Picture, Image Swap, custom element hiding, and other tools; • supports custom filters and exceptions for individual websites; • provides additional tools for YouTube and Rutube. Browser Monitor follows a local-first approach: settings, statistics, and tab activity data are stored locally in your Chrome profile. The extension does not require an account, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not send analytics to the developer’s server. Some permissions, including access to browsing history, cookies, downloads, or the clipboard, are requested only when the related features are used
