The problem it solves While word count offers a basic metric, knowing the actual reading time provides a far more intuitive understanding of the commitment a post demands from your audience. A post that's too long might discourage a hurried reader, while one that's too short might not provide enough value. Although online tools exist for this purpose, why navigate away from your favorite platform when you can have an immediate and accurate estimate of reading time directly integrated into your workflow? This extension eliminates the guesswork, allowing you to optimize the length of your messages for maximum impact. Supported languages The "Buffer Read Time Estimator" offers robust multilingual support, based on average reading speeds specific to each language, ensuring more precise estimates. You can select the language of your content for a personalized measurement. All processing occurs locally within your browser. - Minimal permissions: it only requires access to buffer.com and *.buffer.com sites to read text from input areas and display the estimated reading time. It does not require any additional permissions and does not access your Browse history, personal data, or other websites. - No tracking: there are no analytics, third-party cookies, or any form of tracking integrated. This extension was created as a personal, passion-driven project. As an active Buffer user myself, I felt the need for a tool that would help me optimize my posts.
