Live-translates Dutch subtitles on Videoland, KIJK, NPO, and Play into English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, or Italian. Watch Dutch TV with friends or family who don't speak Dutch. This extension detects the Dutch subtitles already showing on supported streaming sites and overlays a live translation on top of the video, in the language of your choice. Features: - Automatic subtitle detection — just turn on Dutch subtitles in the player, no configuration needed - Translate to English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, or Italian - Bilingual mode — optionally keep the original Dutch text visible too - Adjustable size, position (drag to reposition), text color, background color/opacity, and font - Works in fullscreen - Per-site on/off toggle, plus a keyboard shortcut - Free to use out of the box; optionally connect your own free DeepL API key for a dedicated, more reliable translation quota Supported sites: Videoland, KIJK, and NPO. Privacy: only the subtitle text currently on screen is sent to the translation service you've selected (a public Google endpoint by default, or DeepL if you provide your own API key).
