The CO₂ database (456 products), repairability scores (300+ devices), and predecessor model data are all built into the extension — no data is sent anywhere, no tracking, no ads. Information appears in under 300ms. Optional: connect a free Climatiq API key in settings for live emission data on products not in the local database. DATA SOURCES All values come from published manufacturer lifecycle reports (Apple PER, Samsung PCF, Google Environmental Reports) and peer-reviewed studies (HIGG MSI, Poore & Nemecek 2018, EcoInvent v3.8). Every number is sourced and shown transparently in the widget. PRIVACY No data leaves your browser unless you explicitly enable the Climatiq API or live iFixit lookups in settings.
