Transcript Sidecar is a simple Chrome extension for viewing, copying, formatting, and exporting captions available on YouTube videos directly from Chrome’s Side Panel. Open a YouTube video and launch Transcript Sidecar to view the available transcript without leaving the video page. The extension retrieves captions silently without automatically opening YouTube’s own transcript panel or changing the state of the video description, so the page stays unobstructed while you use the Side Panel.
