How It Works - Select any word or short phrase on a webpage. - A popup appears with the translation, detected language, and optional details. - For single words, synonyms and an example sentence are added automatically. - Click “Save” to add the word to your learned list; manage saved entries in the popup. Smart Behavior - Same-language optimization: If the detected language matches your target language, example translation is hidden to reduce noise. - Robust messaging: Background processing updates the popup without disrupting your browsing. Privacy & Security - Keys are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device and are not synced or bundled with the extension. - Only the text you select (and minimal context when needed) is sent to the translation/synonym services. - Logging avoids sensitive content; only minimal metadata is recorded to help with reliability. - You can disable optional features (e.g., Gemini synonyms) any time.
