Capture highlights from any webpage into a searchable local notebook. SnapNotes lets you capture text highlights from any webpage into a personal notebook that lives entirely on your device. HOW IT WORKS • Select text on any page — a save popover appears • Optionally add the note to a wishlist (Books, Travel, Research, etc.) • Open the side panel to browse, search, edit, copy, or delete notes • Export everything as Markdown or JSON anytime PRIVACY FIRST • All notes stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) • No account required • No analytics or tracking • No data sent to SnapNotes servers • First-run notice explains what is stored on your device FEATURES • Full-text search across highlights, titles, and URLs • Wishlists to organize notes by topic • Light, dark, and system themes • Open source page from any note • Export to Markdown (grouped by wishlist) or JSON PERMISSIONS (why we need them) • storage — save theme and UI preferences • sidePanel — your notes library • tabs — open the original page when you tap “Open source” • Access to all websites — show the save UI only when you select text on a page you visit SnapNotes does not read page content in the background.
