Create vocabulary flashcards from subtitles on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, HBO Max and TOD. Scenelex Companion turns the subtitles of what you watch into English vocabulary flashcards, matched to your level. HOW IT WORKS 1. Watch with English subtitles on Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, HBO Max or TOD. 2. While the video plays, the extension reads the subtitle text that the player itself loads. It never requests subtitles on its own, and nothing leaves your browser until you act. 3. Select "Create word list". The collected subtitle text is sent to your Scenelex account, and each selected word becomes a card: the meaning used in that scene, pronunciation, synonyms and the sentence it appeared in. 4. Study your flashcards at app.scenelex.com on any device, or export them to Anki, Quizlet, PDF or Word. WHAT YOU NEED - A free Scenelex account. - Your own access to the streaming services you use. Scenelex does not provide, unlock or record any content. - English subtitles turned on in the player. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - No background capture: it only reads subtitles while you are playing the video in a normal tab, and it never opens tabs by itself. - No tracking: it runs only on the five sites above, with no analytics and no ads. Subtitle text is sent only when you select "Create word list". - What you watch is not stored: the raw subtitle text is kept only while your word list is being built and is deleted when the job finishes.
