Capture parcel locations from county GIS sites, correct them on a map, and save them to a SurveyManager job. SurveyManager Companion is a side panel for land surveyors that rides along with the county GIS and assessor sites you already use. Find a parcel on any county viewer, capture its position, confirm it against aerial imagery, and save it to a job — without copying coordinates by hand. CAPTURE • Read a parcel's boundary and attributes from the page you're on • Search an address, click the map, or type a coordinate in decimal or DMS • Confirm every position against aerial imagery before it is saved • Street View at the pin, or along a road before you mobilise JOBS • Your SurveyManager jobs, searchable, shown on the map • Update status and append dated notes • Create a job at the pin, keeping the exact position instead of re-geocoding the address • Map a Windows folder to a job so screenshots land with the drawings EXPORT • Shapefile, DXF, KMZ, KML and GeoJSON • DXF is written in the State Plane zone you choose, so it opens correctly in AutoCAD and Civil 3D • Import a KML or KMZ a client sends you AREAS • Fetch every parcel the current map view touches • Parcels crossing the edge come back whole, never trimmed, so a second pass over the next block lines up with the first Requires a SurveyManager account (app.surveymanagerapp.com).
