This extension syncs YouTube live streams in real-time by accelerating viewer-delayed streams caused by data reception delays. Tired of watching YouTube live streams with seconds (sometimes even minutes) of delay? ZeroDelay keeps you as close to real time as possible. GITHUB: https://github.com/joaogfc/ZeroDelay When a DVR-enabled live stream starts falling behind, ZeroDelay gently increases the playback speed (a smooth 1.25×) to consume the buffered content and bring you back closer to the live edge, reducing latency. Once you're caught up, it returns to 1.0× to maintain the improvement. In other words, it works in short bursts only when you fall behind—without keeping playback sped up all the time or making the viewing experience uncomfortable. WHY INSTALL Get back to real time — stop seeing chat spoilers before the action happens. Works automatically — pick a mode once and forget about it. Smart and gentle — speeds up only when needed and never when the buffer is low, helping prevent buffering. Lightweight and private — no data collection, no external servers, no remote code. FEATURES One-click modes — from gentle recovery (for slower internet connections) to minimum latency (as close to live as possible). Automatic Mode (default) — measures your connection (bandwidth, stability, and buffering) and adjusts automatically: stays closer to live when your connection can handle it, or keeps a larger buffer when it becomes unstable. Each mode shows the recommended internet quality for optimal performance. Optional jump to live when the delay becomes too large. Optional on-player indicators — playback speed, live latency, and buffer health displayed next to the LIVE badge, including in fullscreen mode. Also works with YouTube's embedded player. PRIVACY ZeroDelay does not collect personal data, does not use analytics, and does not load remote code. All settings are stored locally on your device. Technical note: Modern YouTube live streams ("SABR / manifestless") ignore direct playback speed changes applied to the video element. ZeroDelay uses the player's own setPlaybackRate() API, which is what actually makes latency recovery work on these streams.
