Description
ConsentGauge is a lightweight privacy inspection extension for cookies, trackers, consent banners, and audit evidence capture. Especially useful for Privacy Professionals, ConsentGauge helps you inspect a website’s privacy-related activity during a page load. Enable inspection for a site, then review observations for the current tab in a side panel. Scanning stays inactive on sites you have not enabled. Review cookies, network requests, detected trackers, and consent-banner activity with supporting evidence. Where supported, page-level consent data adds context to findings, helping you examine activity before an observed choice and after an interaction. Unknown or ambiguous choices remain identified as uncertain. For repeatable checks, start a clean audit to clear selected cookies and reload the page. Cookie removal can affect sign-ins and saved preferences. You can also enable a Global Privacy Control test for the current tab to examine how the site responds to that signal. Export observations as JSON and capture a full-page PNG with an audit summary for review and documentation. Detection is best-effort. Browser restrictions and page behavior can limit observations, and automated findings may be incomplete or incorrect.
