Displays current media playback and enables Trakt scrobbling. Mireki is a privacy-conscious Firefox extension that automatically detects what you are watching and keeps your Trakt viewing history up to date. Once connected to Trakt, Mireki reports meaningful playback events, including play, pause, resume, and completion. Movies and episodes are marked as watched after reaching 90% progress. Mireki supports localized titles, aliases, common season and episode formats, and absolute anime episode numbering. The popup provides a clear overview of the current media, playback progress, source, artwork, and Trakt synchronization status. Supported services include Crunchyroll, Netflix, Prime Video. Matching quality depends on metadata exposed by each service and Firefox. Privacy is a core principle: - No telemetry or analytics - No unrelated browsing history collection - Raw tab and frame observations remain local and expire quickly - Only media metadata and playback progress required for Trakt matching and scrobbling are sent to Trakt - Authentication tokens remain isolated in Firefox extension storage - Disconnecting removes local credentials and synchronization state A Trakt account is optional. Without one, Mireki can still display the current media playing across supported Firefox tabs.
