UNHITCH - Take Back Your YouTube Unhitch lets you hide or disable the parts of YouTube you don't want, without touching the parts you do. No account needed. No background data collection. Everything stays on your device. Pick and choose from 22 toggles across four categories: HOMEPAGE - Hide the home feed entirely - Redirect straight to Subscriptions on launch - Remove the Explore tab - Hide "More from YouTube" recommendations - Hide the subscriptions list in the sidebar WATCH PAGE - Hide the video sidebar - Remove recommended videos - Disable live chat - Hide playlists - Hide fundraiser banners - Remove end-screen feed and cards - Hide mixes - Disable autoplay - Disable annotations SEARCH - Filter out irrelevant search result shelves GENERAL - Hide Shorts everywhere - Hide comments - Hide merch and ticket offers - Hide video info (title, description, metadata) - Hide the top header bar - Hide the notifications bell WHY UNHITCH? Block the distractions you don't want, keep the features you do, and use YouTube on your own terms. PRIVACY Unhitch has no analytics, no telemetry, and no passive data collection of any kind. Your settings are stored locally using your browser's built-in sync storage. The only network activity is optional and user-initiated: submitting a bug report or feature request sends your message to Unhitch's feedback server. Nothing is ever sent in the background.
