Watch YouTube videos together in sync — SharePlay for everyone. Watch the same YouTube video with friends, in sync, from any computer. Global SharePlay is SharePlay-style group watching without requiring Apple devices or accounts. Create a room, share an invite link, and everyone stays together. When anyone plays, pauses, scrubs, or switches videos, the rest of the room follows. If someone hits a YouTube ad, the group waits so nobody gets left behind. WHAT YOU CAN DO Watch together in a shared room (up to 10 people) Join with a nickname — no account or login required Copy an invite link that opens the current video and room Join by room ID if you do not have a link See who is in the room, who is hosting, and who is in sync Host can approve joiners, kick members, and lock playback controls Playback waits during ads, scrubbing, large seeks, and video changes Leave YouTube to browse, then pick the next video for everyone Different YouTube tabs can be in different rooms Idle rooms time out after 15 minutes HOW TO USE IT 1. Install Global SharePlay and pin it from the puzzle-piece menu. 2. Open a YouTube video. 3. Click the extension icon, enter a nickname, and click Join room (leave Room ID empty to start a new room). 4. Click Copy invite link and send it to friends who also have the extension. 5. Friends open the link, enter a nickname, and join. After that, play, pause, and scrub together. PRIVACY Global SharePlay does not require an account. It stores your nickname on your device and sends room activity (nickname, room ID, YouTube video ID, playback time, and play/pause state) to the sync server so everyone stays aligned.
