Routes stock footage comp downloads into per-site folders and keeps a running CSV log of every file, its source site, and page URL. StockSilo is a tool for video editors who pull comps from stock footage sites all day and need to keep track of where everything came from. WHAT IT DOES When you download a comp from a stock footage site, StockSilo automatically: Files it into Downloads/StockSilo/<Project>/<Site>/Comps/ — organized by your active project and the source site Adds a row to a running download_log.csv at the top of each project folder: date, time, project, file name, site, folder, and the clip's source page URL When it's time to clear licensing, your log already knows every clip's origin. CLIP-PAGE INTELLIGENCE Many stock footage sites let you download comps from search results or a generic "my footage" style page — pages that don't identify the specific clip. On many supported sites, StockSilo works out the specific clip's page and logs that instead, so every row in your log links back to the actual video rather than a search page. BROAD, GROWING SITE SUPPORT StockSilo works out of the box with a wide range of stock footage marketplaces. When you download from a site it doesn't already recognize, it asks once whether to track that site going forward, and remembers your answer — so its coverage grows with your own workflow rather than being limited to a fixed list. PROJECTS Set your active project in the popup and every download routes under it, with its own CSV. Switch projects when you switch jobs. Media pools never mingle. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your machine. No accounts, no analytics, no data transmitted anywhere. The log lives in the extension's local storage and is written to a CSV in your own Downloads folder — that's it. FREE, DONATION-SUPPORTED StockSilo is completely free, with all features included — no paid tier, no in-app purchases, and no ads. The extension popup contains a single optional "Buy me a coffee" link to the developer's donation page for users who wish to support development. The link opens in a new tab, is never required, and no functionality is gated behind it. TIP: In chrome://settings/downloads, turn OFF "Ask where to save each file before downloading" — StockSilo routes files silently, and Chrome's save dialog overrides it.
