Protect browser pages with continuous, on-device owner face recognition. FaceGuard helps protect ordinary browser pages when you step away from your computer. Using your webcam, FaceGuard periodically checks whether the enrolled owner is visible. If recognition repeatedly fails, FaceGuard covers supported browser pages with a lock screen. The emergency password can be used to regain access. FaceGuard stores numeric face descriptors rather than enrolment photographs. Camera images, face descriptors, emergency passwords and webpage content are not uploaded to Syns Digital. FaceGuard uses Supabase for account authentication and licence status, and Stripe for subscription billing. Important limitation: FaceGuard protects ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages. Chrome internal pages, the Extensions manager, other applications and the operating system cannot be covered by a Chrome extension. Face recognition may produce false matches or false rejections and should not be treated as a replacement for operating-system security.
