Leave a short anonymous note on any web page, and find the notes others left before you. Hooks lets you hang a short note on any web page, and see the notes other people have left. Wondering if a recipe works with oat milk? Spotted a mistake in an article? Wanted to share a thought? Leave a hook. The next person who visits the page will see it. HOW IT WORKS • Click the Hooks icon to open the side panel. It shows the notes for the page you're on and follows you as you switch tabs. • Write a note of up to 280 characters and hang it. • Upvote the notes you find useful. The most-upvoted note is pinned to the top once it has 3 upvotes. • New notes and votes appear live, for everyone on the page. ANONYMOUS BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-in. Hooks never asks for your name or email. • On each page you appear as a random number like #4821, and it's different on every page, so nobody can connect your notes across sites. • Hooks never sends the address of the page you're on, only a scrambled code of it. • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. KEEPING IT FRIENDLY • Up to 3 notes per page, on up to 3 new pages a day. • You can delete your own notes at any time. • Report notes that break the rules. Reported notes are reviewed and removed if they do. OPTIONAL • Dark mode. • Note counts on the toolbar icon, so you can see at a glance which pages have notes. Off unless you turn it on.
