A quieter typing test: reskins monkeytype.com to look like a document editor. Monkeydocs restyles monkeytype.com so that practicing your typing looks like working on a document. Monkeytype is one of the best typing trainers there is, but it looks exactly like what it is. In a library, a lecture hall, an open-plan office or a quiet carriage, a big centered word game on a dark background is the most eye-catching thing on your screen. Monkeydocs keeps the typing test exactly as it is and changes only how it looks: a white page, one-inch margins, a ruler, a toolbar, and grey text you type over. Nothing about the test itself changes. Your words, settings, accuracy, WPM, history and account all work exactly as before, because Monkeydocs just restyles Monkeytype's own page. What you get: - A document-style page: US Letter sheet, one-inch margins, ruler and toolbar - Editable document title, shown in the browser tab - Nine fonts, including Geist, Geist Mono, Geist Pixel and Roboto Mono - Adjustable font size and line spacing, applied to the typing text - Document templates that fill the page above the test: an essay with a proper header and title block, meeting notes, a cover letter, or a Custom template you can type or paste your own text into - Dark mode - Mistakes marked with a red spellcheck underline instead of red text Privacy: Monkeydocs collects nothing and sends nothing. It requests no browser permissions, makes no network requests, and includes no analytics or tracking. Your preferences are saved in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
