SiteGuard is a local-first beta for independent developers, QA practitioners, site owners, and small web agencies. It helps you catch common release issues, keep useful evidence, and verify what changed on a later check. What SiteGuard can do • Check the current page for common issues involving titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, noindex directives, H1 headings, page language, viewport settings, image alt text, form labels, control names, duplicate IDs, empty links, and mixed content. • Test up to 20 same-origin links with bounded HEAD-only requests. Endpoints that do not support HEAD are marked inconclusive; SiteGuard never retries them with GET. • Capture limited console, runtime, resource, Fetch, and XHR error metadata after you explicitly start a check. Request and response bodies and headers are not collected. • Optionally save a compressed screenshot of the visible tab. Screenshot capture is off by default, and form/editable text is masked before capture. • Record up to five click, change, or submit steps as a critical-flow checklist without storing typed values. • Guide you through a saved flow manually. SiteGuard highlights the expected element but never clicks, fills, purchases, sends, or submits on your behalf. • Compare a check with the previous check on the same site to show new, resolved, and unchanged findings. • Export self-contained HTML and JSON reports and delete stored checks or flows at any time. Privacy and permissions SiteGuard runs only after you invoke it on the active HTTP(S) tab. It requests activeTab, scripting, and storage only—no all-sites access, browsing history, cookies, passwords, webRequest, or debugger permission. Version 0.1.0 has no analytics, advertising, cloud account, or data upload. Saved data remains in this browser. Important: SiteGuard provides focused automated heuristics, not a complete WCAG, SEO, security, performance, or legal-compliance audit. Review reports before sharing because visible page content may contain confidential information. Version 0.1.0 is a free beta with all current features unlocked. No checkout or subscription is active.
