Comments on every page, stored on Freenet. FreePinion adds public comments to the web page you are looking at. Threads live on Freenet, software you run on this computer. There is no FreePinion company server. We do not receive your comments. You need Freenet installed and running (the dashboard at http://127.0.0.1:7509/). Without it you can open the panel, but you cannot publish. FEATURES • Chat — public comments for this page. Reading needs no identity. Posting does. • A short name (alias) on your messages. At most 15 characters; not a web address. • Global Board — optional. After you post, you can list this page on two public boards of 50. Only the URL, fingerprint, work bits, and a hash of the message are shared — not the text and not your name. • Inbox — private messages with the same identity. • Mute — hide people on this browser only. • Ban — public on this page. Trust (follow someone’s bans here) stays on this browser. • Freenet web apps (/v1/contract/web/…) can have comments. The Freenet dashboard, chrome:// pages, and typical home-router/LAN addresses cannot. • The toolbar icon opens the side panel. A number on the icon is how many messages this page already has. HOW TO USE 1. Install Freenet and wait until http://127.0.0.1:7509/ shows the dashboard. 2. Pin FreePinion and click the toolbar icon. 3. Write in Chat. The first message on a page spends about one second of work on this computer so spam is expensive. That is not mining: it does not run while you only read. Edits, deletes, and Ban skip that work. 4. Optional: tick Global Board next to Post to share the page (not the message) on the public lists. 5. Account holds your name and key. Export a recovery code if you use more than one computer. PRIVACY Comments, alias, fingerprint, and Ban are public on Freenet for that page. Mute, Trust, filters, and a short cache stay in this browser and are not synced with Chrome. The identity seed stays in the Freenet vault on this machine. We do not sell data.
