Read selected webpage text with Animal Crossing-style Animalese audio, animated dialogue, custom voices, and keyboard shortcuts. NookSpeak is an Animal Crossing (Animalese) text to speech reader for Chrome. Select text on any page to hear Animal Crossing character sounds while the dialogue bubble from the game types the words on screen. Use the right-click menu or a configurable keyboard shortcut to turn selected web text into an Animal Crossing-style dialogue. Right-click and choose “Read with NookSpeak,” or press your configured shortcut. Click the dialogue bubble to start the audio and typing animation. COMPATIBILITY NookSpeak works on standard HTTP and HTTPS webpages. Chrome does not allow extensions to run on protected pages such as chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store; the settings popup explains when a page is protected. PRIVACY NookSpeak does not collect analytics, browsing history, or selected text. Selected text is processed inside the extension, and preferences are saved with Chrome Sync.
