Refreshes CS2 prices from your own connection when you use FloatSmith and shares them with everyone. No background activity. TradeUp Lab Contributor keeps the TradeUp Lab CS2 trade-up calculator supplied with fresh Steam Community Market prices. Steam limits how many market prices any one computer can look up per minute. Instead of one server doing all the work, volunteers who install this extension each contribute a tiny slice: about three price lookups per minute, fetched from your own connection, well inside Steam's normal limits. WHAT IT DOES • Once a minute, asks the TradeUp Lab server which item prices are stale • Fetches those (publicly visible) prices from steamcommunity.com • Sends the item name, price and listing count back to the server • Every TradeUp Lab user then sees fresher, more accurate trade-up math WHAT IT NEVER DOES • It never uses your Steam login - requests are sent without cookies, so they are anonymous and identical to what any logged-out visitor sees • It reads no page content, no browsing history, no personal data • It runs no code on any website you visit You can pause contributing or change the server at any time from the popup.
