Caveat checks a product's reviews for the patterns that show up when a review base has been gamed, and checks today's price against the product's own price history — showing both right on the page. Free, no account, no subscription, and built read-only: it never crawls, never touches your account, and never fetches a page you didn't open yourself. WHAT IT DOES • Trust score — free, rule-based analysis of rating distribution and review language, shown as a badge right on the product page. • Price check — free and also rule-based: is today's price actually good, based on the product's own price history, not a guess. When it's a genuinely good price, Caveat shows it inline, right in the badge. • Works on Amazon (Ireland, UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, and more) and Etsy. WHY CAVEAT Fakespot shut down in 2025. Caveat was built as its spiritual successor — same idea (a trust score for reviews, not just a star rating), rebuilt from scratch with a stricter privacy stance: no crawling, no background fetches, no touching your cookies or account. It only ever reads the page you're actually looking at. AN HONEST WORD ON WHAT THE SCORE IS Caveat's score is an automated opinion about a pattern in a listing's public reviews — not a finding of fact about any seller or product, and it can be wrong.
