BuyLens is a shopping companion that helps you quickly understand a product without opening the detail page. If you shop on Amazon, Taobao, Tmall or JD, you know the routine: a listing looks good, but you are not sure until you scroll through pages of reviews. BuyLens runs as a side panel right on the product page. It gathers the key details and the reviews people actually left, then an AI model gives you a plain-language summary: what buyers like, what they complain about, and whether it is worth your money. What it does: - Reads the product page you are already on - no copy-pasting links or text. - Summarizes the overall sentiment and the most common pros and cons. - Gives a clear verdict (worth considering, caution, not recommended) so you do not dig through hundreds of comments yourself. - Shows buyer-uploaded photos for some platforms, so you get a real look at the item. - Supports simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and English. How the AI works: - BuyLens offers a managed LLM proxy: sign in with your email (free) and get a daily analysis quota - no API key to manage. - Prefer full control? Bring your own key. It works with any OpenAI-compatible https service: OpenAI, DeepSeek, or any Anthropic-compatible provider. Your key stays on your device and is only sent to the endpoint you choose. Supported sites: Amazon (US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, Singapore), Taobao, Tmall, JD.com. About permissions: BuyLens only runs on the shopping sites listed above. If you save a custom AI endpoint that is not in the built-in list, Chrome will ask whether to allow access to that address. That is a one-time, optional grant for the endpoint you set - the extension does not ask for access to every website by default.
