Copy text and code from the current YouTube video frame with one click, using on-device OCR. No servers, no accounts, fully local. Frame Text Capture for YouTube adds a capture button right inside the YouTube video player. Click it while watching any video and it reads the text and code visible in that exact frame using on-device OCR, then copies it straight to your clipboard. No more pausing a coding tutorial to retype a snippet by hand, or digging through the video description hoping the creator linked a gist. After capturing, you also see exactly what was recognized: the frame opens with the detected text overlaid on the image, so you can drag-select just the part you actually want, a single function instead of an entire whiteboard, and copy only that. Everything runs locally in your browser. There is no server, no account, and no data collection: the video frame and any recognized text never leave your machine. The only network request the extension makes is a one-time download of the OCR engine's language data on first use, which is a static file and contains no information about you. Useful for programming tutorials where the instructor writes code on screen, conference talks with command-line examples or config files on slides, and any video where you would otherwise be pausing and retyping by hand. Works on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera).
