Protects your data. Tracker blocking, scam-site blocking and an encrypted-connection check on every page. Sweep blocks hidden third-party trackers as you browse and stops known scam and phishing sites before they load. - Tracker blocking: trackers from Sweep's lists and EasyPrivacy are blocked on every page. The dashboard names every company that tried to load, with its hosts and category. - Scam-site blocking: every page is checked against Sweep's daily list of known phishing sites. A listed site does not load; a warning page says why and lets you leave or, at your own risk, continue. - Encrypted-connection check: see whether the page you are on uses an encrypted connection. - Global Privacy Control: tells sites not to sell or share your data (on by default, can be turned off). - Fire Button: close tabs and clear recent browsing data in one step. - Report a problem with a site in two clicks; turn protections off for any site. Free: everything above. A Sweep plan (the same key as Sweep for Android, Mac and Windows, from azet.io) also blocks known ad servers. 15-day trial, no card and no account. Sweep does not send the sites you visit or what it blocked. It downloads its lists from azet.io; after you start a trial or enter a key, it checks the license with azet.io once a day. Only when you press Send on a problem report or feedback form does it send that page's address (without the query string), the addresses the page requested, your notes and the browser and extension versions (in Firefox, the versions only if you allow technical data). See azet.io/privacy. Built on open-source code (Apache-2.0); licences and notices are included in the package.
