Preview links and selected-text searches in a clean overlay without leaving the current page. Alt Peek lets you inspect a supported link in a focused overlay before deciding whether to open it in a tab. Use Alt + Click, Option + Click on macOS, or an optional long press to open a preview while keeping your current page in place. The extension also offers contextual actions that support the same preview workflow: copying a link, opening a preview in a nearby tab, searching selected text in the overlay, choosing how the preview looks, and disabling previews on individual sites. A dismissible support reminder becomes eligible only after seven days and ten preview openings. Users can postpone it for one month, acknowledge support for six months, or disable it permanently. Alt Peek does not replace the new-tab page, home page, startup page, or default search provider. It does not include ads, analytics, telemetry, behavioral tracking, or remotely hosted code. The extension interface follows the Chrome language automatically and is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
