Dims attention-seeking HDR profile pictures and media back to normal brightness. Seeded with LinkedIn and X; add your own sites. Some HDR images shout. Ego Dimmer turns them down. Ego Dimmer keeps bright HDR images, video, and canvases from overpowering the rest of your screen. It uses Chrome’s built-in HDR controls to limit extra brightness without hiding media or changing ordinary SDR content. Open the popup on any website and flip one switch. Choose Full SDR to bring HDR media back to normal screen brightness, or Gentle to keep a little of its glow. LinkedIn, X, and Twitter are ready from the moment you install. You can enable Ego Dimmer on any other website when you need it. Chrome requests access only when you add a new site.
