Underneath it sits a solid hot pink toolbar and bookmarks bar, which keeps your tabs, address bar and bookmarks easy to read instead of fighting the pattern behind them. The active tab picks up the same pink. On the new tab page the print eases in gradually from the top, so the area around the search box stays calm and uncluttered while the pattern fills in further down. The artwork is desaturated and lightened from the original, so it reads as pastel rather than neon — colourful enough to be cheerful, quiet enough to work in all day.
