Warns before suspicious links, phishing websites, and risky downloads. SafeClick Guard is a Chrome security extension that helps users check suspicious links, phishing risk signals, and risky downloads before continuing. The extension works as a suspicious link checker, website safety warning tool, and download protection helper. It checks websites using local risk signals such as HTTP usage, suspicious keywords, shortened URLs, IP-based URLs, punycode, many-hyphen domains, and login/password-field signals. When a website appears suspicious or high risk, SafeClick Guard shows a warning page before the user continues. SafeClick Guard also helps with risky download detection. Download checks are triggered only by real Chrome download events. When download protection is enabled, SafeClick Guard can check download URLs or source pages and ask the user to choose Keep Download or Stop Download when attention is needed. Cloud reputation checks are handled through the SafeClick Guard backend at https://api.safe-guard.us. Reputation provider API keys are not stored in the extension package.
