Monitors browser download lifecycle events and explains them in technical and plain language. Download Monitor by The Nexus Pivot is a local-only Chrome extension for understanding download lifecycle activity. It records download starts, progress, filename changes, completion, interruption, and related browser-reported status in a clear dashboard. Key features: • Plain-language and technical views • Linked lifecycle records for each download • Extension attribution when Chrome provides it • URL paths, query strings, referrers, and local directories redacted by default • Full details available only as an explicit future-record opt-in • Incognito disabled and Incognito-marked downloads rejected • Local JSON and CSV exports initiated by the user • No accounts, analytics, ads, telemetry, remote code, or data upload Download records stay in chrome.storage.local in the current browser profile. The extension has no website host permissions or content scripts, and its Content Security Policy blocks outbound network connections.
