Highlights everyday English words and shows their Māori translation on hover. Choose how many appear and how often they rotate. Kupu o te Wiki highlights common English words and phrases as you browse, and shows you the Māori translation the moment you hover over them — no clicking, no separate app, just soft highlights woven right into the pages you're already reading. By default it highlights 100 words at a time from a growing dictionary of 500+ everyday English words and phrases, rotating to a new set every week so you're gradually exposed to more of the language over time. Every part of this is yours to control: Fully customise how highlights look: six styles (a solid highlighter block, dotted or solid underline, bold coloured text, a boxed outline, or a soft translucent highlight), any accent colour you choose, and an adjustable background intensity. Choose exactly how many words show at once and how often the set rotates: daily, every few days, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Open the Manage Words page to tick or untick any word individually, add your own words and phrases, and leave suggestions for words you'd like to see added in a future update. Turn highlighting off for specific websites, pause it temporarily, or switch it off completely, all from the toolbar popup. Every change applies instantly, with no page refresh needed. Kupu o te Wiki works entirely on your device. It makes no network requests, collects no data, and needs no account. Every word list, every preference, and every custom word you add stays local to your own browser.
