Check social preview metadata in the current tab, then optionally test server configuration. Detailed description Check the social preview metadata of the page you are viewing before you share it. PreviewChecks scans the rendered metadata in the current Chrome tab and shows how a link can appear in social previews. It flags missing Open Graph metadata, duplicate tags, risky title or description lengths, canonical URL issues and other local problems without uploading the page HTML. When you need a deeper diagnosis, choose Run full check. PreviewChecks then sends only the current page URL to its public API and reports crawler-like access, preview image reachability, WAF or challenge risk and TLS support. What PreviewChecks does: - Shows a compact preview card, quick score and local issue count. - Checks rendered Open Graph, X card, canonical and language metadata in the current tab. - Explains issues with actionable fixes and severity labels. - Runs the same full PreviewChecks report used by the website when you explicitly request it. Privacy by design: - The quick scan stays in the browser tab and does not send page HTML to PreviewChecks. - Local findings use session-only extension storage. - The full check is optional and sends only the current page URL after your click. - The extension does not access browser history, cookies or downloads.
