Vision-To-Ear Context: summarize the current YouTube frame and read it aloud. V-TEC — Vision-to-Ear Context Want a quick description of what’s happening in a YouTube video without stopping to read? V-TEC captures the current video frame, adds the video’s available title and description for context, and uses AI to create a spoken summary. The video pauses while the summary is read aloud, then resumes when speech finishes. Use keyboard shortcuts to request a standard or one-sentence summary, or turn on Smart Context for recurring scene summaries at an interval you choose. Chrome’s built-in text-to-speech reads the results aloud. V-TEC can help viewers who prefer listening to a concise description over processing more on-screen text. It summarizes the visual scene rather than reading the page aloud. Setup and data: V-TEC requires your own OpenAI API key. When you request a summary, it sends the captured frame and available video title and description to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI API usage may incur charges. Summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete.
