Adds a translated subtitle line to your streaming player. Runs entirely on your device — no account, no API key, no data sent. Subpair adds a second subtitle line on top of the subtitles the player already shows. It runs entirely on your device using Chrome's built-in translator. There is no account, no API key, no subscription, and no server: the text of what you watch never leaves your computer. HOW IT WORKS Turn subtitles on in the player as usual. Subpair reads each line as it appears, translates it locally, and draws it clear of the original. SETTINGS • On/off • Original subtitle language, or automatic detection • Target language • Position - below the original or at the top, with an offset slider to fine-tune it SUPPORTED SITES Works on major streaming services. Chrome lists the exact sites it can access on the permission prompt when you install it. REQUIREMENTS Chrome 138 or later on desktop. The built-in translator is not available on Chrome for Android or iOS. The first use of a language pair downloads a small model; after that it works offline.
